When life is over . . .
What will happen to me?
What will happen to me when life is over? Will I just cease to exist or will my soul live on?
If my soul continues to live, where will I go?
We have all asked ourselves these questions, and even though they seem hard to answer, there are answers.
The Bible tells us exactly what will happen.
The Bible says your soul is eternal.
“Then [after death] shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit [soul] shall return unto God who gave it.”
Ecclesiastes 12:7
The Bible says what will happen to you.
You will either have eternal life . . .
"And this is the record , that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son."
1 John 5:11
. . . or you will have eternal death.
“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
Revelation 20:15
The Bible says you can have
eternal life with God.
You have two choices: eternal life or eternal death. What will happen to YOU? This is the most important question you will ever answer. Did you know that the Bible not only tells us that eternal life is real,
but it tells us how to have eternal life?
You can know for sure that you have eternal life. First you need to understand a few things.
The Bible says you are a sinner.
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23
The Bible says you have earned
death for your sin.
“For the wages of sin is death . . .”
Romans 6:23a
The Bible says you can have the free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
“. . . But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23b
The Bible says Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay for your sins.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8
The Bible says if you will trust Jesus Christ as your Savior you will be saved.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Romans 10:13
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God,
even to them that believe on his name.”
John 1:12
If you would like to trust Jesus Christ as your Savior . . .
You can trust Jesus as your Savior right where you are. You must simply put your faith in Him, that He died on the cross for your sin, was buried, and rose again the third day. You can pray a prayer like this: “Dear God, I know I am a sinner and that I deserve eternal death for my sin. I also know that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay for my sin.
I now trust Jesus Christ as my Savior.
Thank you for saving me. Amen.”
