The  first official service will be in October, 2011. The time leading up to the first service will be divided into two general phases: preparation and promotion.

The preparation phase

will be from November 2010 through July 2011. The foundation of Pacific Baptist will be formed during this time. Financial planning and support, legal issues, official church documents, advertising and printed material preparation, securing church supplies, rental facility research, outreach and canvassing strategies, website and social media development, and sermon preparation are among the areas which will be addressed.

The promotion phase

will include August and September of 2011. The efforts that will launch Pacific Baptist will be exerted during this time. There will be as much advertising as finances allow, including newspaper ads, mailers,  and radio commercials. There will also be an aggressive door-to-door campaign, during which other supporting area churches will serve alongside pastor Thompson. Follow up visits to interested contacts will be a major focus as well.  Pastor Thompson will conduct a “get-to-know-you” meeting during each of the three weeks prior to the first service, at which people can meet him and his family. The promotional phase will also include finalization of rented facilities, planning the specifics for services, and other needed arrangements.

The goal

of these efforts is a church that is up and running with a complete worship service starting the very first Sunday. Please pray that God will bless!
